So close to freedom

23.5 hours until I'm dunzo with this crazy semester! Can hardly hold in my happiness :) Got a HUGE day of communication disorders ahead of me though. 10 huge lectures to go through? No big deal, I got this. Oh and running off 3 hours of sleep. I love finals.

Anxiously awaiting tomorrow,

Birthday festivities

Happy birthday to my roomie and best friend, Emmaline Cote!
. Top: The card I made her!
. Bottom: Snowman devil's food chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting, coconut, chocolate chips, and starbursts. Made with love from Mom.

Ready to pass out,

Sugar overload

I'd like to start out this post on a very happy note: 3 hardest exams down, 1 more (and a 2 page essay) to go! However, my unfortunate procrastination habits have, of course, prevented me from starting the paper, which is due in 10 hours. On another positive note, I got a 97 on my biology final and an 84 on the biology cumulative!! I was expecting an A on the cumulative too, but I'm still SO happy with my grade. It feels good to know I have two definite A's so far out of my 4 classes. I'm crossing my fingers for a 3.6 and entrance to the business school, but we'll see what happens.

In order to reward myself for my kick ass exam grades, I have done absolutely nothing for the past 5 hours but celebrate/decorate for birthdays (My 15 year old sister & my 3 really good friends at UConn share the same birthday), lay in my bed, and eat an entire bag of both twizzlers and sour patch kids. I'd say it was a pretty productive day. I am absolutely exhausted from getting such little sleep and have unfortunately been suffering the consequences of an extremely high intake of coffee and sugar. I am absolutely ecstatic to be done on Thursday at 10 am, get my ass back to the gym (Since I haven't gone since last Wednesday), and catch up on the 50-100 hours of sleep I've given up this semester for A's.

Can't wait til I can actually post about something other than school, studying, and stress.

Sleepy and stressing,
Erica

The 24 hour count down begins

It's always so hard to get my ass out of bed when I sleep home, but hey, somehow I did it today. I woke up only to see that the clock said "10:30," meaning I have exactly 24 hours until my first, and hardest, final. Starting to freak out a bit? Yep, I think so. Also, the rainy whether is just exciting the idea of me getting back and bed and sleeping until 2. Unfortunately at this point, that is not an option. At least I get to enjoy a home-made omelet one more time before I truck my ass, my laundry, and my insanely heavy back pack back to the Conn?

Searching for motivation,
Erica

A little bit of astrology

So I was just doing some late night tweeting and found the perfect distraction from my studying: Sexstrology. It's crazy how right some of these are. If you're not a Pisces, feel free to click the link above to find out some fun stuff about your astrological sign. Some of them may really surprise you. Enjoy!

. Pisces love waking up to their favorite lover in the morning.
. Pisces wants the kind of sex that drips with passion.
. Pisces prefer lovers who are also friends.
. Pisces love to please with their soft, sensual lips.
. Pisces believe their soul mate is out there waiting for them.
. Pisces have a stubborn side which serves to protect them from being taken advantage of by those they help.
. Pisces has a big generosity, sometimes so big they neglect themselves while giving to others.
. Pisces have a good side and a really naughty side that many people rarely see
. Pisces are compassionate, sympathetic, and loving.
. Pisces will understand your depth of feelings like no other sign.
. Pisces wear their heart on their sleeve and are not ashamed of that.

Goodnight and sleep tight,
Erica

Keep calm and carry on ♛

11:30 PM... we meet again. Except it's been a while since I saw you last with my economics book. Ugh, been avoiding this subject for way too long. Seeing as it's my first final on Monday at 10:30 a.m., I think it's time I start going through the 20 chapters I'm being tested on. It's frustrating to me, however, that the other microeconomics course offered at UConn this semester gets to take their cumulative final online. Needless to say, I am very jealous and I'm truly hating on my teacher. I was never really a big fan of Professor Martel's anyways.

After asking my dad to shut the internet off on my computer for 3 hours because I have zero self-control, I decided it was time to take a break and share my excitement about my Israel trip that is in 24 DAYS. I am still in disbelief that I'm actually going to be in a country full of such pride, incredible history, and beautiful cities in just a matter of a few weeks. There's a total of 40 of us that are going to be living, seeing, and breathing the Israeli land and much talked about food for 10 days. I just wish it was Thursday after my communications disorders final already so I could start making my packing list. A trip like this requires a massive shopping trip, which could end up being dangerous seeing as there's a weight limit on our suitcases. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait and cross that bridge when I get there.

Well, I think it's about time for me to stop procrastinating and get back to learning about positive & negative externalities and their effect on the market. Maybe I'll actually go to sleep before 4 tonight? Only time will tell.

Anxiously awaiting my bed,
Erica

Cheeseburger in paradise.

There's nothing like having a cheese burger and green beans in the comfort of your own home.

Still struggling to study,
